Kenda Kikuyu

If you are a household with large dogs and active kids, Kenda is the lawn variety for you.
It has a very good winter colour and a lovely soft, dense texture.
Unlike common kikuyu, it is less likely to produce viable seed heads, so this makes it a better choice for your home garden. It’s vigorous growth however, which makes its recovery so good in active areas, has a down side in that it readily grows into garden beds.
This makes Kenda Kikuyu most suitable to an open area bordered by hard surfaces.
Like other varieties of kikuyu and couch, Kenda needs full sun so it is not a variety to be used if you have shade.
